The former Second Empire style town Hall, a copy of Fontainebleau’s , was built in freestone and red brick and inaugurated in 1869. This building is now the town’s historical museum and reminiscence of Rueil-Malmaison in so much that it goes back to the beginnings of a small village near Paris from Charles le Chauve until the present day. Of particular interest is a collection of 1600 miniature models of the great army …
The laundry room, the Edouard Belin room, (who invented the predecessor of fax, le Bélinographe) … A history of postcards is presented in the Eugene Capelle room.
Opening hours : Everyday except Sundays from 2.30 p.m until 6 p.m.
Free Entrance and commentated visit on request.
