Cycling tour on the banks of the Seine

"A sunny summer morning, not too hot, just enough to push you outside ... You don't want to go too far, or take the car. And then I feel the soul of an explorer...

From the center of Rueil-Malmaison, I join the banks of the Seine along the blue promenade. In no time, here I am at the time of the Impressionists… I like to dream on a tavern air…. Arriving at the golf course, I observe the balls crossing these lawns of perfect size and emerald green. On the other side of the Seine, boats are circulating and a bench awaits me ... but that will be for next time.

What I like are these places of nature in the heart of the city. This idea of a country town !

I take the Gallicourts footbridge which crosses the RD913. At this place, a picnic table allows me to enjoy the tranquility of the place. I leave and a little further I see the Château de la Petite Malmaison, an old greenhouse that once belonged to the Empress Joséphine.

I hear an air of classical music, the gate of the house is open, I come in and there I discover an imperial house…. I venture and what luck, every Sunday between July 12 and 30 August, the owner of this private home opens his house for a visit at 3:30 pm.... I attend this ride and then the atmosphere of yesteryear rock me and I decide to stay until the arrival of the artist, a pianist….

For 1h30, I bask in this house…. It is getting late, but the light allows me to go up by bike and I continue my way by following the signs for the Urban Natural Park and in less than 10 minutes, I find myself at the Belvedere of the Gallicourts.

A surprising view of Mont-Valérien and La Défense !

Back by the rue de la Bergerie then the avenue de Versailles, I join the city center and here I am back home... I feel soothed and fit to meet friends and meet on the terrace of cafes."
