From July 6th to 17th, will be held the first Transhumance of Greater Paris. It is a crossing of the Metropolis over 140 km with a herd of 25 sheep from a sheepfold of Seine-Saint Denis and 4 shepherds.
40 people, who change every day, are authorized by "Enlarge Your Paris" to follow this transhumance They will leave the Basilica Saint Denis on July 6 to arrive on the place of Trocadero (or place des Invalides) July 17.

On July 15 and 16, a flock of 25 sheep accompanied by her shepherds will cross 140 km for 12 days and will pass through the city of Rueil-Malmaison before reaching Paris. After crossing St Cloud, Vaucresson and Garches, the flock will enter the city through the forest of Saint Cucufa at the end of the day.

This transhumance will mix agriculture and culture as forty walkers will visit every day filled with history and large agricultural spaces throughout the course.
